Queer History Mural at Detroit Vesey’s

Nora Rachel creates visual art, inspired by queer culture, femme identity, and vintage kitsch. She is interested in queer imagery with a modern naughty, and politicized twist.

Nora Rachel works with acrylic paint on canvas, watercolors, graphite, pen and ink. She also works with detailed embroidery art, and fabric.

Nora Rachel began her art practice by working with hand-painted vintage porcelain, china, and ceramics. She paints text, pop art, and portraiture onto one of a kind vintage pieces, using these vintage treasures as her canvas.

Nora Rachel is a queer & genderqueer femme visual artist working and residing in Los Angeles, California & Anchorage, Alaska.
